Andrewmentioned that Hannahs’ at Ivybridge will be re-opening in mid-September aftera safe-guarding issue caused temporary closure. Hannahs have increased thefacilities for disabilities at S-H and numbers have doubled in the last year, especially as other providers are closing. The commercial side is also growing, especially in events and conferences with lots of interest from schools andcompanies such as Wrigley, Great Western, The Met Office, and Lloyds etc.Hannahs’ own events are also growing like the Comedy Festival and the Beer& Music Festival. Andrew thanked Seale-Haynians for helping with the heritageprojects, especially the Safe-Haven project. Looking to the future, Hannahsare getting more engaged in the TDC Local Plan as houses creep ever closer toS-H. The 90-acres is very safe and TDC are also very keen for Hannahs to bea part of the plan and incorporate the Hannahs vision. There are now around130 people employed at S-H excluding the tenants and the small businessesthat use the site and TDC realise the importance of this. TDC are also keen toattract tourism and 50% of Hannahs’ visitors are from outside the TQ area.TDC are also keen on the environment and Hannahs are looking now at the useof the land and also the facilities at Hannahs, especially around energy-useopportunities and the use of the buildings with special reference to updatingand renovating the Quadrangle, hopefully involving some grant funding maybethrough HLF. This will rely on the heritage aspect, which will involve The SealeHaynians, the college years and the WW1 history and further developing theHeritage Room. One problem is that the Virginia Creeper is causing structuralproblems with walls and drainage. Andrew finished by mentioning that apartfrom grant funding and big donations, the need for constant voluntary funding isalways key.Minutes of AGM July 12th 2014 were signed as a correct record.Matters arising from the minutes - There were no matters arisingCorrespondence - IG reported that Tony Lawton was not well.
