The trustees administer the fund and make annual awards out of theinterest earned from the investment. Awarded £5,300Total funding £55,929Mick Fuller reports; This year the Board of Trustees bade farewell to MaryQuicke who has served a sterling stint of more than 10 years on the Board ofTrustees. Mary has been replaced on the Board by Sir Harry Studholme, anotherformer staunch supporter of Seale-Hayne. Mel Squires (Seale-Haynian andRegional Manager of NFU) has taken over as Chair of the Board of Trustees.This year the Trustees commissioned an Impact Report of SHET funding andwere very pleased with the outcome. Readers are encouraged to take a look atthe report which is available online at the SHET website.University News - Until 2015, agriculturally related research was beingchampioned through CARS (Centre for Agricultural Sustainability), but from2016 and following a research organisational review at the University, the subjectis now being championed through the ENFOB (Environment, Food andBiotechnology) research group within the School of Biological Sciences. Thegroup is led by Professor Tom Hutchinson who recently joined the Universityfrom Syngenta and who sits on FERA and DEFRA advisory groups. Prof MickFuller, who formerly led CARS, moved into phased retirement and is only at theUniversity 0.2 of his time, but continues with a number of research projects andconsultancy roles around the world.Lost souls 2016During the year 2015 to 2016, we have had mail returned from the followingSeale-Haynians.
